These terms govern your use of Clip Farm, a product of Merl ("we", "us"). By creating an account or submitting a VOD for processing, you agree to them.
Clip Farm processes stream VODs and videos you submit from supported platforms (currently Twitch and YouTube) or upload as video files, and produces short vertical clips with scores and captions. Processing time varies with VOD length and queue load; it is not guaranteed.
You must own, or have the rights to process, any VOD you submit — for most streamers that means submitting your own broadcasts. Clips generated from your VODs are yours. We claim no ownership over your streams or the clips we cut from them, and we process your VODs only to provide the service.
When you upload a video file, you confirm that you own it or have permission from the rights holder to copy, process and clip it — for example, under the terms of a clipping campaign you have joined. Downloading a video from another site does not by itself give you that permission, and you are responsible for following that site's terms. Uploads are limited by your plan (file size, total upload space and uploads per day). Uploaded source files are stored only to make your clips and are deleted automatically: unfinished uploads after about a day, unused uploads after about two days, used uploads about a day after their last job finishes, and every upload within seven days. We may remove uploads and suspend accounts that infringe someone else's rights.
Usage is measured in VOD hours: one VOD hour covers one hour of footage processed. Free-trial hours are one-time and produce watermarked exports. Subscription hours (Creator, Grinder) refresh monthly and do not roll over; top-up hours never expire. If a job fails outright, the hours it consumed are refunded automatically. Subscriptions renew until cancelled and can be cancelled any time, effective at the end of the billing period.
Generated clips remain downloadable in full quality for 30 days after a job completes, after which they may be deleted. Download anything you want to keep.
Don't submit content you have no rights to, attempt to disrupt the service, or use it to produce unlawful material. We may suspend accounts that do.
The service is provided "as is"; clip selection and scoring are automated judgments and carry no guarantee of virality or fitness for a particular purpose. We may update these terms; if we make material changes we will post the updated terms here with a new date. Questions? Contact us through your dashboard.
