Kick VODs: how to auto-clip them (yes, it works)

Every week someone asks us some version of the same question: "this works for Twitch, but I stream on Kick — am I out of luck?" No. Kick VODs run through the exact same clip farm as Twitch VODs, with the same detectors, the same hype scoring and the same facecam-safe vertical output. Here is how it works and what, if anything, is different.

Why Kick streamers get asked this at all

Most clipping tools grew up on Twitch and treat everything else as an afterthought — Kick support arrives late, half-broken, or never. Which is backwards, because Kick streamers arguably need automatic clipping more: the platform is younger, discovery inside Kick is thinner, and short-form clips on TikTok and Shorts are how most Kick channels actually get found. The workflow does not change by platform:

The detectors do not care which platform the pixels came from. A YOU DIED screen is a YOU DIED screen, and a killfeed reads the same whether the stream went out on purple or green.
